Security Officer

About the position

The Security Officer at Port Madison Enterprises is responsible for ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both guests and employees at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort. This role involves following the Security Department's procedures and policies, observing and reporting activities, incidents, or safety hazards during shifts, and responding to emergency situations as directed or according to policy.

Responsibilities

• Safeguards company assets
• Ensures the safety of the facility for the protection of employees and guests
• Prevents illegal behavior to ensure safety
• Transports casino funds in accordance with established standards
• Observes and reports unusual events on the premises
• Provides assistance in the ejection of guests as directed by TGC
• Transports revenues from all gaming areas to and from the Cashiers Cage
• Systematically checks effectiveness of locks and security devices
• Restricts access to sensitive areas from unauthorized persons
• Creates a safe and comfortable environment for guests
• Provides first aid, as required, to patrons and employees
• Performs other duties as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Good math and writing skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• CPO certified or enrolled in a course within one year of accepting position
• Possess Washington State Liquor Board Class 12 Mixologist permit, within 60 days of hire
• Knowledge of basic computer programs and software
• Able to type 20 wpm
