About the position

As the OluKai Retail Store Manager your kuleana (responsibility) is to create a premium and welcoming experience where customers can discover and purchase any OluKai they are looking for. We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager who embodies the OluKai brand; whose passion is to lead a team to run a modern and efficient retail operation, managed with Aloha. Your role is to foster the store experience as well as manage every aspect of store operations. You are a person of high integrity, community oriented and embraces the ever-changing retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create a premium and welcoming customer experience.
  • Manage the store financial plan including revenue and expenses.
  • Ensure the store consistently achieves or exceeds sales, KPIs, and profitability goals.
  • Analyze customer profiles, sales trends, and competitive information to adapt product range.
  • Manage store inventory, restocking products, and receiving new products.
  • Identify inventory gaps and place fill-in orders.
  • Oversee product flow, back of house operations, supply needs, and daily maintenance.
  • Reconcile daily reporting and manage customer transactions with excellence.
  • Coach staff to be product storytellers and guide customers in product selection.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and brand image.
  • Participate in local events and giveback programs in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on ambassador content and store events.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff in collaboration with HR.
  • Inspire staff to approach the sales floor with enthusiasm and Aloha.
  • Manage staff scheduling and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct performance check-ins with staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years retail management experience.
  • BA or BS is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Self-motivated leader with strong entrepreneurial skills.
  • Strong guest-centric mindset and ability to manage with Aloha.
  • Elevated communication skills tailored to suit the audience.
  • Creative and adaptable team player with a positive attitude.
