About The Position

The On Site Donation Attendant at City Thrift plays a crucial role in ensuring donor satisfaction by providing courteous and respectful service. This entry-level position involves maintaining the donation area, safeguarding donations, and representing the charity positively to donors. The attendant is responsible for keeping the donation site clean and organized, ensuring that all donations are properly handled and stored until processed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a clean and organized donation site.
• Report to the supervisor at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Wear appropriate attire, including a name tag and clean vest or shirt.
• Ensure the donation area is free of trash and debris.
• Provide courteous service to donors and thank them for their contributions.
• Safeguard donations and ensure they are stored properly in the trailer.
• Stack donations carefully and neatly, ensuring bags are tied and boxes are closed.
• Be knowledgeable about the charity's purpose and who it serves.

Benefits
