About the position

The Onboarding Coordinator in HR Operations at AmeriLife Group, LLC is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and administration of HR initiatives and practices across the organization. This role involves providing operational and administrative support related to onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations, while working closely with the HR team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver HR operational services and build capabilities to drive organizational performance through individuals and managers.
  • Provide confidential executive administrative support to the CHRO and HR Leadership team.
  • Handle correspondence, manage calendars and appointments, arrange meetings, and make travel arrangements for the CHRO and leadership team.
  • Support the employee life cycle by managing processes around onboarding, employee changes, offboarding, and more through the HRIS system (Workday).
  • Lead operational onboarding activities for all acquisitions into AmeriLife, including supporting EIB loads, testing, generating offer letters, and launching background checks.
  • Ensure day-to-day operational tasks are executed accurately and timely in alignment with best practices and standards within Workday.
  • Enter changes into Workday, including confirming hires, conversions, exits, compensation, job changes, department changes, and transfers.
  • Support HR Business Partners by answering frequently asked questions from employees and managers regarding policies, benefits, and job changes.
  • Monitor the HR team inbox and serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, including document requests and benefits enrollment.
  • Act as a liaison for inquiries to the broader HR SME team.
  • Support HR Transformation, project/program management, change management, and process improvement within Workday.
  • Research local and federal employment laws and maintain records securely.
  • Provide feedback on organizational procedures and policies related to EEO, FMLA, ADA, and other employment laws/regulations.
  • Produce reports and data analytics to support HR projects and programs as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Previous work experience in Human Resources in an operational role supporting HRIS, Compliance, and Operations.
  • Hands-on experience with HR technology, specifically Workday.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
