About the position

The Online Development Communication Specialist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital plays a crucial role in supporting the Development team by managing web and email content for fundraising initiatives. This position is integral to the hospital's $2 billion capital campaign, ensuring effective communication strategies are implemented to enhance donor engagement and support major gift solicitations. The specialist will collaborate with various teams to optimize online content and analyze web traffic to improve fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the department and content experts to obtain material for web pages.
  • Assist in developing communication strategies for the hospital's fundraising page.
  • Update and edit page copy, graphics, multimedia content, and layout on the giving pages using Drupal and HTML/CSS.
  • Design and code graphics and copy for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) emails and donation forms.
  • Provide guidelines on web-based image/graphics/text use to uphold digital marketing standards.
  • Coach team members on email functionality and best practices for web and print collateral.
  • Collaborate with various teams on tasks, projects, and timelines for online campaigns.
  • Support tracking and analyzing web page traffic and engagement using Piwik.
  • Implement UTM parameters for tracking multi-channel efforts.
  • Develop reports and dashboards in Piwik for web analytics needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with website content management systems such as Wordpress and Drupal.
  • Ability to edit and write in HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
  • Graphic/UX Web Design knowledge with experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Canva, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Adept use of project management and collaboration software (Webex Teams, Box, Smartsheet).
  • Analytical skills related to web content management and email marketing.
  • Experience in transferring print collateral into custom landing pages and emails.
