About The Position

The position involves providing on-site program management for waste services across multiple U.S. customer locations. The individual will be responsible for maintaining historical data, monitoring waste generation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and acting as a liaison between various parties involved in waste management. The role emphasizes health and safety, requiring regular inspections and the implementation of improved waste management procedures.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree with a minimum of 2 years of Heritage experience from a Customer Experience or Technical Role, or a High School Diploma with 4+ years of Customer Experience or Technical role required.
  • Two years of waste management industry experience required; five years preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and superior time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to foster lasting relationships with clients and supplier partners.
  • Problem-solving skills with limited direction.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local industry-related regulations including 40 CFR 265.

  • Experience balancing and delivering multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to write business proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies and processes.
  • Conduct daily site inspections.
  • Conduct weekly RCRA inspections.
  • Work with customers and vendors to implement improved waste management procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain historical data, including hazardous waste manifest return copies, land disposal documents, and waste profiles.
  • Prepare labels and develop accumulation area site layouts.
  • Monitor waste generation rates and regulatory status at facilities.
  • Track pick up and service delivery scheduling.
  • Manage all document tracking and prepare annual/bi-annual waste reports to the Environmental Department.
  • Manage supplier subcontractors working on behalf of Heritage.
  • Meet with supplier partners to discuss disposal opportunities, negotiate pricing, and review current approvals.
  • Prepare monthly waste activity reports for clients as requested.
