About the position

As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III at Penske, you will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for customers. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in vehicle repair or those with some experience seeking a new opportunity. Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for logging, researching, and completing repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as tire replacement, lubrication, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Collaborate with your manager to learn new skills through training and hands-on coaching.
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
