About the position

The Doughnut Factory Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager by ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a collaborative team environment. This position focuses on achieving financial objectives while developing the skills necessary to progress towards a General Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement procedures to maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily production.
  • Implement quality control procedures and standards.
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize labor hours.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and assess any production or equipment problems.
  • Ensure all products meet Krispy Kreme quality standards.
  • Work with the General Manager to achieve business plan objectives and profitability.
  • Demonstrate safety consciousness and promote safety practices.
  • Maintain a high level of sanitation and cleanliness in the facility.
  • Oversee proper upkeep of facility and equipment.
  • Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and dispute resolution.
  • Supervise all shift personnel and build a customer-focused team.
  • Demonstrate leadership in employee development, including that of Supervisors.
  • Communicate and enforce all policies, standards, and practices to employees.
  • Assist General Manager in managing income and expense budgets, profit and loss.
  • Complete required corporate reporting documentation, both financial and operational.
  • Manage company resources responsibly, including inventory control.
  • Protect company assets and manage financial duties.
  • Communicate and model company standards and policies.
  • Implement directives from corporate and divisional management efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain the doughnut factory organization to promote efficient operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with sales, management, production, and customer service.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Pleasant disposition, sociable, accommodating nature, and enthusiasm.
  • Self-motivation, creativity, and adaptability.
  • Basic computer, telephone, and fax knowledge.
  • Must be available for full time (40+ hours/week).
  • Post Secondary Education strongly preferred.
