About the position

Eaton's Industrial Sector is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the operational performance at the Middlesex, NC facility. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while managing manufacturing activities and workforce engagement. The Operations Manager will collaborate with various departments to optimize production processes and achieve operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational performance of the site, focusing on Safety, Quality, and Customer Requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and serve as a liaison between the Plant Manager and production supervisors.
  • Supervise all manufacturing activities to enable production processes at optimal capacity.
  • Implement and maintain a safe working environment through incident prevention and policy enforcement.
  • Engage workforce and promote personal accountability by identifying goals and empowering employees.
  • Foster innovation and promote continuous learning through feedback on employee performance.
  • Focus on key operational metrics such as OTD, Gross Utilization/Productivity, and Quality.
  • Partner with the Scheduler and Supply Chain to align demand forecasts with load/capacity plans.
  • Lead the production supervision team, including headcount planning and talent development.
  • Guide facility and capital investment decisions to improve business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements using Eaton Business System processes.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, recognizing and rewarding teamwork and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing people in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be a US person as defined by ITAR regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing people in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in a Production Supervision or Production Management role.
  • Cross-functional experience with scheduling, engineering, quality, or customer service functions.
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or Automotive industries.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Leadership experience in a high accountability culture and metrics-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, IATF1400 audits.
  • Experience using advanced functions in Excel and/or Power BI.
