About the position
This position is primarily responsible for reconciling and researching various Operations accounts within standard timeframes. The incumbent reduces risk by identifying out-of-balance situations researching root cause and creating adjusting entries to balance the account. The incumbent may need knowledge of various transaction processes and the ability to research and communicate with a variety of employees to resolve discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Gathers and compiles information from reports, statements and other sources to prepare and balance assigned reconcilements.
- Researches overdue fund situations by gathering information from the outside sources to determine what adjustments are needed to collect on the funds and then submits the adjustments.
- Sends written communications to other financial institutions requesting information or for the transfer of funds.
- Processes information quickly, accurately and in an organized manner while maintaining the flexibility to multi-task and effectively prioritize.
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School or GED
- 5 years of job-related experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- MS Excel - Intermediate Level
- MS Word - Intermediate Level
- Accounting concepts and fundamentals
