About the position

The Operations Senior Section Manager for the Returns Department at KeyCorp is responsible for leading operations related to check return and deposit exception processing. This role involves managing a team of 13 specialists across Cleveland and Albany, ensuring service delivery excellence, and maintaining a strong control environment. The manager will also oversee financial performance, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operations for check return and deposit exception processing.
  • Manage a team of 13 specialists in Cleveland and Albany.
  • Ensure service excellence to achieve SLAs for internal partners and customers.
  • Hire and mentor diverse professionals to build a high-performing team.
  • Understand and manage operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and bank policies.
  • Implement project or continuous improvement initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Execute human capital decisions to meet financial goals.

Requirements

  • Established experience leading in operations with a focus on SLA, quality, and productivity.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and initiatives to successful completion.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and implement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex assignments with competing deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $70,000 to $95,000 annually based on experience and location.
  • Eligibility for short-term and deferred incentive compensation based on performance.
