About the position

The Operations Site Lead at American Tower is responsible for managing and supporting the Network Operations department by acting as the frontline representative in the field. This role involves collecting data from tower assets, ensuring high standards of data quality, and managing maintenance and repairs across various asset types, including towers and fiber-based networks. The position requires extensive travel and collaboration with different functional groups to achieve operational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine site audits on assets in an assigned area/zone efficiently using UAS and other data collection tools.
• Ensure all assets meet safety, compliance, and asset integrity standards by identifying discrepancies and following through on remediation.
• Engage with customers and vendors to manage projects, ensuring timelines and safety standards are met during pre-construction and post-construction activities.
• Respond quickly to issues with the Company's back-up generators, fiber-based networks, or during critical events.
• Conduct data collection and maintain high standards of data quality for all assigned tower assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in telecommunications or a related field required.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Must obtain FAA Part 107 Certification to operate UAS within a year of hire.
• Vendor management experience, real-estate management experience, or a civil construction background preferred.
• Knowledge of radio transmitters, receivers, antennas, and wireless or ethernet backhaul preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
