About the position

The Operations Specialist at E.A. Buck is a crucial role that ensures the alignment of technology and operating systems with the company's business plan. This position serves as a key liaison between advisor offices and the home office, assisting in the onboarding and transition to Salesforce, and supporting operations reporting and business analysis for future growth. The role involves maintaining network structure, ensuring data security, and providing ongoing training and support to users.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain network structure and ensure it supports organizational growth.
  • Implement best practices for data security to protect client and company data.
  • Manage data entry processes in the CRM to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vendors to maintain and improve network efficiencies.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with network operation standards.
  • Guide advisor offices in maximizing the use of IT applications.
  • Interact with Sales RVPs and PMs to enhance the advisor and staff experience.
  • Identify and learn relevant software applications for the position.
  • Assist in roadmap planning and prioritization for feature delivery.
  • Troubleshoot user-reported issues through research and analysis.
  • Document new processes supporting software and hardware integrations.
  • Work closely with the COO for proper training and technology use.
  • Provide ongoing training and support for user groups to enhance their experience with technology.
  • Maintain and update software and hardware as needed.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards for operations.
  • Identify firm solutions on custodian platforms and become a subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years' experience in Financial Services, Business Analyst, or Operations Role
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Experience with Salesforce Reporting or Dashboard
  • Knowledge of Securities, Life, or Annuity products is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized and analytical
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Strong technical documentation and organizational skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services
  • Knowledge of CRM systems
  • Familiarity with custodian platforms
