About the position

The Senior Consultant in Operations & Technology Transformation at Deloitte focuses on delivering innovative technology solutions for the insurance industry, particularly in the areas of ETL and data migration. This role involves interfacing with clients to understand their business needs and translating those into effective technology solutions. The consultant will lead system strategy, requirements development, design, testing, and implementation, ensuring that the solutions align with the clients' operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Interface between clients and Deloitte teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Define systems strategy and develop system requirements.
• Design and prototype technology solutions to meet business needs.
• Lead testing and implementation of custom technology solutions.
• Review system requirements and redefine business processes as necessary.
• Present prototypes to clients and lead discussions on technology solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 4 years of consulting or relevant industry experience in Insurance (P&C, L&A, Commercial lines, Specialty).
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions, specifically Guidewire or similar packages.
• 4 years of experience in Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, or Policy Administration.
• 4 full life cycle implementations of Large-Scale System Delivery Experience, preferably for Policy Administration or Claims Systems.
• 1 year of experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations.
• 2 years of experience managing a large Business Integration effort and project team through all project phases.
• 4 years of hands-on ETL experience with Informatica and/or Microsoft SSIS.
• 4 years of experience with Data Mapping or Data Migration.
• 4 years of experience with SQL.
• Ability to travel 50% on average.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree in a technical specialization.
• CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification.
• Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification.
• 4 years of experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration.
• Experience delivering via Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Strong background in Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX.
• Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools.
• Familiarity with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule.
• Knowledge of standards and specifications (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services).
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
