About the position

The Senior Consultant in Operations & Technology Transformation at Deloitte focuses on delivering innovative technology solutions tailored to the insurance industry. This role involves interfacing with clients to understand their business needs and translating those into effective technology strategies and implementations. The consultant will leverage their expertise in Guidewire and other insurance solutions to lead projects that enhance operational efficiency and drive transformational change.

Responsibilities

• Interface between clients and Deloitte teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Define systems strategy and develop system requirements for technology solutions.
• Design, prototype, test, and implement custom technology solutions for clients.
• Lead the testing of technology solutions and redefine business processes as necessary.
• Develop and review system requirements and present prototypes to clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 4 years of consulting or relevant industry experience in Insurance (P&C, L&A, Commercial lines, Specialty).
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions, specifically with Guidewire or similar packages.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration, or Distribution.
• 4 full life cycle implementations of Large-Scale System Delivery Experience, preferably for Policy Administration or Claims Systems.
• 1 year of experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations.
• 2 years of experience managing a large Business Integration effort and project team through all project lifecycle phases.
• 4 years of hands-on ETL experience with Informatica and/or Microsoft SSIS.
• 4 years of experience with Data Mapping or Data Migration.
• 4 years of experience with SQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree in a technical specialization.
• CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification.
• Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification.
• 4 years of experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration.
• Experience delivering via Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Strong background in Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX.
• Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools and business rules integration.
• Familiarity with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
