About the position

The Senior Consultant in Operations & Technology Transformation focuses on delivering innovative technology solutions to clients in the insurance sector. This role involves interfacing with clients to understand their business needs and translating those into effective technology strategies and implementations. The consultant will lead projects, manage teams, and ensure the successful delivery of large-scale system solutions, particularly in the areas of Property & Casualty insurance.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients to understand their business needs and technology requirements.
• Define systems strategy and develop system requirements for technology solutions.
• Design, prototype, and test technology solutions tailored to client needs.
• Lead the implementation of custom technology solutions, including training and support procedures.
• Manage large business integration efforts and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Conduct data mapping and migration using ETL tools like Informatica and Microsoft SSIS.
• Oversee the full life cycle of system delivery, particularly for Policy Administration and Claims Systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 4 years of consulting or relevant industry experience in Insurance (P&C, L&A, Commercial lines, Specialty).
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions, specifically with Guidewire or similar packages.
• 4 years of experience in Insurance sub-service areas such as Underwriting, Claims, or Policy Administration.
• Experience with at least 4 full life cycle implementations of large-scale system delivery.
• 1 year of experience in estimating and planning large-scale system implementations.
• 2 years of experience managing large business integration projects.
• 4 years of hands-on ETL experience with Informatica and/or Microsoft SSIS.
• 4 years of experience with SQL and data migration.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree in a technical specialization.
• CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification.
• Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Strong programming background in Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX.
• Familiarity with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools and business rules integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
