About the position

The Senior Consultant in Operations & Technology Transformation at Deloitte focuses on delivering innovative technology solutions tailored to the insurance industry. This role involves interfacing with clients to understand their business needs and translating those into effective technology strategies. The consultant will lead projects that encompass system strategy, requirements development, design, testing, and implementation, ensuring that solutions align with client objectives and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
• Define systems strategy and develop system requirements for technology implementations.
• Design and prototype technology solutions, leading the testing and training processes.
• Review and refine system requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead large-scale system delivery projects, particularly in Policy Administration, Billing Systems, and Claims Systems.
• Manage business integration efforts and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 4 years of consulting or relevant industry experience in Insurance (P&C, L&A, Commercial lines, Specialty).
• 4 years of experience with Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions, specifically with Guidewire or similar packages.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration, or Distribution.
• Minimum of 4 full life cycle implementations of large-scale system delivery.
• 1 year of experience in estimating and planning large-scale system implementations.
• 2 years of experience managing large business integration projects.
• 4 years of hands-on ETL experience with Informatica and/or Microsoft SSIS.
• 4 years of experience with Data Mapping or Data Migration.
• 4 years of experience with SQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree in a technical specialization.
• CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification.
• Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration.
• Experience delivering projects via Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Strong background in Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX.
• Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools and business rules integration.
• Familiarity with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
