About the position

As an Operations & Technology Transformation (OTT) Insurance Transformation Manager at Deloitte, you will leverage your extensive industry and technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions to clients in the insurance sector. The OTT team is dedicated to addressing the core business challenges faced by insurance companies, providing tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive growth. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors, ensuring that client engagements are effectively identified, designed, and implemented. Your role will involve overseeing teams that identify business requirements, functional design, and process design, including scenario design and flow mapping. You will also be involved in prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures, ensuring that all aspects of the project lifecycle are covered. In this position, you will utilize your hands-on technical expertise, particularly in integrating complex legacy applications, to develop and maintain relationships with top decision-makers at key clients. You will participate in and lead aspects of the proposal development process, contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be crucial in this role. You will also be expected to manage large business integration efforts and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, from scoping and planning to requirements gathering, design, development, and testing. This position requires a strong understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions, particularly with Guidewire and similar packages, as well as experience in leading technical and functional activities related to Guidewire BillingCenter.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.
  • Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large Insurance Carriers/companies.
  • Oversee teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design, prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures.
  • Utilize hands-on technical expertise related to integration with complex legacy applications.
  • Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients.
  • Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years consulting or relevant Insurance experience within Property & Casualty - Personal Lines, Commercial lines, Specialty Insurance
  • 6 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Origami or similar package
  • 6 years of experience working in one of the following Insurance sub service areas: User experience, Integration, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration, Underwriting or Distribution
  • 4 years of experience leading Guidewire BillingCenter technical and functional activity
  • Minimum 4 full life cycle implementations of Large-Scale System Delivery Experience preferably for Policy Administration, Billing Systems and/or Claims Systems
  • 3+ years of experience managing large Business Integration effort and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, and testing
  • 6 years of experience in translating requirements into optimized designs, and identifying design alternatives and implications on functionality, effort, performance and operations
  • 3 years of experience in custom software development projects
  • 4+ years of experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

  • Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification (ACE certification)
  • 4 years of experience delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Agile / SAFe / Scrum Master / PMP Certification
