About The Position

The Manufacturing Operator at Lilly will be responsible for safely producing high-quality sterile pharmaceutical products at the Indianapolis Parenteral Manufacturing site. This role involves operating various automated equipment in clean room environments, adhering to good manufacturing practices, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The operator will contribute to the production of life-changing medicines while embodying Lilly's culture of integrity, excellence, and respect for people.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, Work Simulation, or Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.
  • Legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with electronic batch documentation systems (e.g., PMX).
  • Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
  • Proven ability to work through production issues and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate various pharmaceutical manufacturing processes including tanks, washers, autoclaves, and filling machines in clean room environments.
  • Prepare cleaning and sanitizing agents and maintain cleanliness in controlled areas.
  • Document process steps on appropriate batch documentation (both paper and electronic).
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
  • Participate in department meetings, team building, and training activities.
  • Provide input for department procedures and training.
