Requirements

  • Requires 1 year of job-related experience.
  • Able to read a tape measure to the sixteenth; experience with micrometers and calipers.
  • Good communication skills, works well with others and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated, ability to perform work tasks both independently and in a team.
  • Excellent attendance, on-time, and dependable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating shear, saw or other cutting equipment.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment including forklift, crane.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the shear and saw while properly cutting material to customer specifications.
  • Perform and direct placement of material and verification of material.
  • Operate crane to load and unload material as required.
  • Set up, select and position saw/shear and material properly to commence cutting.
  • Make necessary changes in process as required to facilitate safe and efficient operation.
  • Verify dimensions and quality of sheared and saw cut parts.
  • Verify the quality of the PVC application to ensure complete coverage with no wrinkles.
  • Complete necessary reports.
  • Work with crane operator/material handler to remove scrap and finished parts.
  • Assist and perform cleaning and packaging functions.
  • Remove dust collector drum and replace.
  • Maintain safe and good housekeeping in work area.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear PPE.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs as required.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
