About The Position

The Optometrist at NVISION Eye Centers is responsible for leading clinical operations to ensure exceptional patient care in general ophthalmology, cataract, and glaucoma treatments. This role emphasizes patient education, particularly regarding cataract surgery and lifestyle lenses, while collaborating with technicians and surgeons to enhance operational efficiency and communication.

Requirements

• Licensed Optometrist in the state of CA
• Cataract experience preferred
• Desire to provide an exceptional patient experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

• Leads all clinical aspects of the center to ensure the best patient care for general ophthalmology, cataract, and glaucoma patients.
• Works with technicians to improve efficiencies in testing and patient work-up, ensuring accurate patient refractions.
• Follows clinical standards of care, including operating practices, incident tracking, quality maintenance, and surgical protocols.
• Interacts with center staff and surgeons to ensure effective communication regarding surgical protocols and patient management.
• Performs pre and post-operative care for patients and assists doctors with complications as needed.
• Follows up with co-managing/referring doctors regarding patient status and results.
• Defines and reports any clinical incidents as necessary.
• Assists in other areas as needed.
