About the position

The Oracle Database PL/SQL Developer role involves the design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of data-warehouse and business intelligence applications. The position requires hands-on development as well as support and enhancement of existing applications, focusing on delivering high-quality ETL solutions using Informatica and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data-warehouse/database/business intelligence applications.
• Implement ETL processes using SQL, ETL tools, and Linux shell scripting.
• Collaborate with development teams to manage interdependencies and maintain data quality.
• Ensure software stability through documentation, code reviews, and testing.
• Perform logical and physical data modeling and database design.
• Lead the development of complex ETL flows using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Develop complex Oracle procedures, functions, and packages for database applications.
• Conduct performance tuning for new and existing applications.
• Perform data analysis and profiling to identify data quality issues.
• Guide the team in estimating work for delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to story refinement and requirement definitions.
• Conduct proof of concept to mitigate risks or implement new ideas.
• Code solutions and unit test to meet acceptance criteria.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and Advanced SQL.
• Highly skilled in ETL Informatica.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with DB vendor tools (e.g., Starburst).
• Understanding of Data Federations, Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Advanced Cloud concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience automating ETL with job scheduling tools, preferably Autosys.
• Experience with big data solutions such as Hadoop or Spark.
