About the position
We are seeking an energetic and talented orthodontic & pediatric dental assistant to join our clinical team at Band & Wire Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry. This role involves working in a friendly, low-stress environment with a passionate group dedicated to dentistry and patient care. The position offers a convenient work schedule with no weekends, focusing on providing quality care to pediatric patients and those with special healthcare needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists and pediatric dentists during procedures
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during treatments
- Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene and care
- Manage patient records and appointments
- Assist with coronal polishing and nitrous monitoring as needed
- Support patients with dental anxiety or special healthcare needs
Requirements
- Valid Registered Dental Assistant license
- Experience in pediatric dentistry
- Experience in dental assisting for patients with dental anxiety or special healthcare needs
- Certification in coronal polishing and/or nitrous monitoring is a bonus
- 1 year of dental assisting experience
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in chairside assisting with pediatric dental procedures
- Passion for patient care and dentistry
