About the position

At Optum, we are seeking a dedicated, patient-centric ENT Physician to join our growing team in Poughkeepsie, NY. In this role, you will practice independently while being affiliated with local tertiary care hospitals that offer a full range of ENT medicine. Our offices are equipped with state-of-the-art ENT equipment and services, and you will have access to a robust in-house diagnostic testing facility. You will be supported by a full complement of teams dedicated to assisting with patient care, allowing you to focus on what you do best: diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries of the ear, nose, throat, pharynx, sinuses, larynx, thyroid, oral cavity, salivary glands, and esophagus. Your primary responsibilities will include examining patients in the clinic, performing necessary surgical procedures, consulting with patients to understand their health concerns, and collaborating with primary care physicians and other specialists to provide comprehensive care. Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries of the ear, nose, throat, pharynx, sinuses, larynx, thyroid, oral cavity, salivary glands, and esophagus.
  • Examining patients in the clinic and performing surgical procedures as needed.
  • Consulting with patients to understand their health concerns and performing specialized tests to diagnose and treat patients.
  • Collaborating with patients' primary care physicians and other specialists.

Requirements

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Otolaryngology.
  • Unrestricted licensure in the state of New York or has New York application in process.
  • Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start.

Nice-to-haves

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Nuclear Medicine, Vascular and Echocardiography.
