About the position

The Chief of Urology at Northern Westchester Hospital is a leadership role focused on overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a culture of scholarship within the department. The position requires collaboration with medical staff and hospital management to maintain and enhance departmental excellence while supporting the productivity of physician faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

• Work with the chair on all matters related to clinical operations.
• Ensure high quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocols.
• Continue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity, and outcomes.
• Ensure the productivity of physician faculty and support staff.
• Maintain and improve upon the excellence within the department.

Requirements

• M.D. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine.
• Completion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibility.
• Currently licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
• Outstanding communication and management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staff.
• Previous division, department, or program leadership experience.
