The Outreach Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the programmatic growth of our services by enhancing communication between referring physicians and our program. This position involves developing, managing, and supporting relationships with healthcare professionals, coordinating and disseminating vital information, and acting as a key resource for both internal and external physicians. Additionally, the Outreach Coordinator will identify new business opportunities with referring physicians and dialysis programs, ensuring a high level of customer service by facilitating referrals and providing information on new clinical programs and services. Moreover, the Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing community outreach programs aimed at promoting our services. This role acts as a liaison to promote and implement educational initiatives and raise awareness of the Transplant Service Line at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC), ultimately contributing to the growth of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage programmatic growth by enhancing communication between referring physicians and the program.
  • Develop, manage, and support relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate and disseminate information to internal and external physicians.
  • Identify new business opportunities with referring physicians and dialysis programs.
  • Facilitate referrals and provide information on new clinical programs and services.
  • Develop community outreach programs to promote the program.
  • Act as a liaison to promote and implement education and awareness of the Transplant Service Line at HUMC.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, community education, and/or community relations in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or healthcare administration.
  • Proficient in Google Suite platforms.
