Terminal Supply Company has been a leader in providing superior MRO parts and services for over 57 years, catering to a diverse range of industries including truck, trailer, and heavy equipment repair. The company specializes in supplying a comprehensive range of products such as terminals, wire, electrical components, fasteners, lighting, safety products, and hydraulic power fittings and hoses. Additionally, Terminal Supply Company offers custom cable and wire harness assemblies tailored for specialty vehicle manufacturers and various other clients. The Outside Sales Account Manager role is a dynamic position that involves conducting sales in the field through direct, face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers. The Sales Account Manager will service customers directly from a stocked vehicle, making approximately 15-20 stops within their designated territory each day. This position requires in-person interactions with a variety of stakeholders, including mechanics, shop foremen, engineers, corporate purchasing departments, and business owners. A key aspect of the role is cold calling to secure new accounts, thereby expanding the company's customer base and enhancing sales performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts within their assigned territory while also developing new accounts. They will follow up on sales leads provided by management and monitor collections on a monthly basis in collaboration with the Accounts Receivable Department. Participation in trade shows as determined by management is also a requirement, along with maintaining personal inventory, rotating stock, and ensuring all stock remains in saleable condition.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the MRO parts industry or related fields.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and sales tracking software.
