About the position
The Outside Sales Manager at A. J. Perri Plumbing, Heating, Cooling is a key leadership role responsible for driving HVAC sales performance in the Tinton Falls area. This position involves evaluating market conditions, collaborating with various departments, and leading a team of sales advisors to meet and exceed performance targets. The role emphasizes a deep understanding of HVAC systems and energy efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, analyze, and monitor the market area to ensure service team meets established goals.
- Meet or exceed monthly performance targets set by the General Manager.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure HVAC objectives are met and implement effective solutions.
- Work with the training and development manager to enhance the sales advisor team's understanding of building science and HVAC options.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and guide sales advisors to achieve or surpass their goals.
- Lead weekly sales meetings to discuss strategies, competitive advantages, and selling skills.
- Present accurate reports and insights to the management team weekly.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in in-home sales management.
- Solid understanding of HVAC products, services, and system design is preferred.
- Goal-driven mindset with a desire to excel in a metrics-oriented environment.
- Structured thinker capable of breaking down problems into manageable components.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office applications; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, self-discipline, and a genuine desire to succeed.
