About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative at Rexel Energy Solutions is a remote position focused on developing and managing relationships within the public sector. This role is essential for driving revenue growth by generating sales to new customers and expanding sales to existing customers. The representative will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to implement sales strategies and engage with public entities to promote EV solutions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience, preferably with a focus on public sector or government accounts.
  • Experience in e-mobility, cloud services, or technical solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Increase business by generating sales to new customers and selling additional products to existing customers.
  • Collaborate with leadership, team members, and suppliers in planning, tracking, and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets.
  • Research and analyze competitive intelligence to inform strategic planning and business development activities.
  • Develop and implement tailored sales strategies for each state and/or region to maximize public sector engagement and revenue.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with public entities interested in EV solutions to encourage long-term adoption and sustainable practices.
  • Achieve annual sales and engagement goals by account, aligning efforts with broader public sector EV initiatives.
  • Perform account planning and coordination with internal teams to ensure strategic alignment and focus on public sector objectives.
  • Create growth-oriented plans to engage ESCO and electrical contractor networks in public sector projects.
  • Collaborate with EV hardware manufacturers and software companies to develop strategic and tactical plans to increase sales and adoption in public sector markets.
  • Work with the Rexel Energy EV Team to accurately forecast revenue for the public sector territory and key accounts.
