About the position

The Outside Sales - Territory Manager position is responsible for managing sales in the Northern California region, specifically from Fresno to the Northern California border. This role involves acquiring new business, building relationships with key customers, and increasing sales within the swimming pool and spa industry. The position offers a strong salary with growth opportunities based on performance, along with a solid commission structure and full travel expense coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new business and increase sales.
  • Build new relationships with key customers and decision makers (wholesale and contractors).
  • Conduct daily sales calls with customers including wholesale distributors, retailers, builders, and service companies.
  • Travel within the territory for sales, trade shows, and collaboration with manufacturers.
  • Expand business relationships in named accounts.
  • Build strong partnerships with manufacturers to increase brand/product awareness.
  • Maintain excellent follow-up habits to complete the sales loop.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of traveling and outside sales experience.
  • Experience in the swimming pool industry is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • High energy, personable, and organized.
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus with additional compensation.
  • College education preferred but not required.
  • Pool industry knowledge and local relationships are a plus.
