About The Position

The Over the Road Driver (Linehaul - Fully Endorsed) position at Estes Express Lines involves transporting freight between terminals within the Estes Terminal network. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age as per FMCSA regulations.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License required.
• Registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled terminal or work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker, and Doubles endorsements required.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Ability to lift approximately 70 lbs. or more as required.
• Must pass a FMCSA required medical exam and road test.
• Familiarity with state motor vehicle laws and FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight according to company and federal regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the vehicle.
• Maintain records in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Comply with all requirements for the safe transportation of hazardous materials.
• Ensure the security of equipment and cargo during transport.
• Report maintenance problems to Fleet Services and/or supervision promptly.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and the general public.
• Utilize in-cab technology, including electronic logs, as required.
