This position involves providing technical support to department personnel in processing commercial insurance policies, which includes both verbal and written communication with staff and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily support to Account Managers and commercial insurance accounts.
• Prepares accurate, properly completed certificates of insurance.
• Confirms the existence of certified coverage; checks for and secures missing information and authorization when necessary.
• Completes simple change requests, checks endorsements, cancellation endorsements, and audits for accuracy and relevancy.
• Prepares accurate, properly completed auto ID cards; processes new business and renewal certificates, auto IDs, endorsements, cancellations, and audits.
• Follows up on direct bill late payments and keeps the Producer and Account Manager informed.
• Prepares renewal files and renewal kits, including ordering of loss runs and loss summaries.
• Documents all correspondence, follows up for necessary information updates, and keeps client files organized and up to date.
• Works together with the team and with other departments, such as Marketing, Accounting, Claims, Producers, etc.
• Displays commitment and initiative to meet department and agency education goals.
