About the position
We are a state-of-the-art Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation practice seeking a full-time permanent outpatient Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our cohesive and positive team culture. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across two sites located in North Bergen and Teaneck, New Jersey. Our practice specializes in a variety of pain treatments and procedures, including Electromyography and Nerve Conduction studies, Epidural Steroid Injections, Facet Joint Blocks/Injections, Selective Nerve Root Blocks/Injections, Radio Frequency Neurotomy/Ablation, Ganglion Impar (Coccyx) Blocks, and Trigger Point Injections/Soft Tissue Injections. As a Pain Management NP or PA, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing patients with chronic or acute pain conditions. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans, developing and implementing personalized pain management strategies, and performing various types of injections to alleviate pain and improve functionality. You will also be responsible for educating patients and their families on pain management techniques, medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment outcomes and quality of life. This position operates on a Monday through Friday daytime schedule, providing a balanced work-life environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with chronic or acute pain conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Develop and implement personalized pain management strategies, which may include medications, therapies, and interventional procedures such as injections.
- Perform various types of injections (e.g., epidural injections, nerve blocks, trigger point injections) to alleviate pain and improve functionality.
- Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment outcomes and quality of life.
Requirements
- Eligibility to be licensed in NJ as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
