About the position
JP Painting is seeking a part-time or full-time Painter to join our team in Allendale, MI. This position is ideal for both experienced painters and those looking to start their careers in painting. The primary focus of this role will be painting apartments in the Standale, Muskegon, and Grand Rapids areas, with most work concentrated in Standale and Muskegon. As a Painter, you will be responsible for transporting paint and equipment to various job sites, which requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. It is important to note that while you will strive to keep your vehicle clean, some paint may inevitably end up on your car due to the nature of the job. This position is particularly well-suited for college students seeking flexible hours during the school year and more hours during the summer. We typically work Monday through Friday, and while the start time during training is set at 7 AM, once you are trained, there is flexibility in your schedule. The work environment is fast-paced, as clients often expect quick turnaround times on their painting projects. The skills required for this position are on the easier side, making it accessible for entry-level candidates. Responsibilities

Requirements
- OSHA 10 certification
- OSHA 30 certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience with airless paint spraying
- Experience in commercial painting (preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Experience in residential painting
- Basic knowledge of painting techniques
- Ability to work independently after training
