About the position

PazLaw® is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our fast-paced and growing law firm located at 205 Crystal Grove Boulevard, Lutz, FL. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $31, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of the firm's professional activities, which include client intake, discovery matters, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearing and trial preparation, and client management. A working familiarity with state and federal court procedures, forms, deadlines, filing requirements, and portals is advantageous. The role requires reliable and honest recording of case time and expenses, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Our ideal Paralegal/Legal Assistant must be professional, proficient in both written and verbal communication, and possess a strong attention to detail. The ability to meet deadlines without compromising efficiency and effectiveness is crucial. This position is suitable for entry-level, mid-level, and senior paralegals, including those who are Florida Registered Paralegals. Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of the Firm's professional activities, including client intake, discovery matters, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearing and trial preparation, and client management.
  • Maintain a working familiarity with state and federal court procedures, forms, deadlines, filing requirements, and portals.
  • Reliably and honestly record case time and expenses.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Paralegal Certificate certification.
  • Experience in legal research is preferred.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with state and federal court procedures.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
