Ludwig Law Firm is actively seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. This full-time position is based in our Downtown Little Rock office, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a background in English, which will be beneficial in managing legal documents and communications effectively. Previous experience in the medical field or as a secretary is highly desirable, as it will enhance your ability to handle the diverse tasks associated with this role. As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys with various legal tasks, including preparing documents, conducting research, and managing case files. Your attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks will be essential in ensuring that all deadlines are met and that our clients receive the highest level of service. This position requires a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. The work environment is collaborative and fast-paced, with a focus on providing exceptional legal support. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and we are looking for someone who can start immediately. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience, and we are eager to find a candidate who is ready to contribute to our team and grow within the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources.
  • Organize and maintain case files and documentation.
  • Manage schedules and appointments for attorneys.
  • Communicate with clients and other parties as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Westlaw for legal research.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Background in English or related field.
  • Previous experience in the medical field or as a secretary is preferred.
  • Entry-level position suitable for recent graduates.
