Blank Rome is seeking an independent, personable, and detailed Paralegal proficient in the practice of matrimonial and family law to work with high-profile individuals, athletes, and celebrities on highly confidential matters. In this role, the Paralegal would provide support to attorneys in the firm's nationally recognized Matrimonial and Family law practice on all matrimonial matters from commencement to resolution. This position is essential in ensuring that the legal processes are handled efficiently and with the utmost professionalism, given the sensitive nature of the clientele involved. The Paralegal will assist attorneys in the review and drafting of various legal documents, with a particular emphasis on the New York and Florida practices. Responsibilities will include conducting factual investigations related to legal matters, drafting pleadings pertinent to Florida matrimonial matters, and performing cite checking, discovery, and trial preparations. The role also involves assisting with the review and organization of mandatory disclosures and financial discovery, drafting Net Worth Statements and Financial Affidavits, and conducting legal and factual research to prepare written material on research results. Additionally, the Paralegal will prepare subpoenas, motions to compel, and assist with preparation for depositions, while also being open to performing other responsibilities as assigned. This position has a hybrid working arrangement, requiring candidates to live within commuting distance of the New York office to be on-site three days per week. The Paralegal will report to the Director of Paralegal Services and is expected to work additional hours as needed to fulfill job requirements.
