The Senior Paralegal Specialist provides essential legal and administrative support to the Chief and commercial law attorneys at the Acquisition Management and Integration Center (AMIC). This role involves acting as a primary contact for various legal issues, offering procedural advice, and maintaining professional relationships with government and non-government organizations. The position requires mastery of government contract and fiscal law, as well as the ability to navigate complex legal frameworks and regulations.

  • Provide independent professional legal assistance to the Chief and contracts attorney.
  • Act as a primary contact for diverse legal issues and administrative operations.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative professional relations with various organizations.
  • Provide timely administrative, management, and procedural advice to attorneys.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret legal documents for case preparation.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at the NH-02 level or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce results within required timeframes with appropriate supervision.
  • Skilled critical thinking in identifying and solving complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of federal ethics laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and general legal materials.
  • Proficiency in using computer-based programs and systems used by office staff.
  • Credit for appropriate unpaid and part-time work experience.
  • Volunteer work experience considered for qualifications.
