About the position

The Paralegal position focuses on supporting legal professionals in the area of Workers' Compensation law. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation and management for workers' compensation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence as needed.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and other office equipment proficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant professional office experience will be considered.
  • 1-3 years of paralegal experience, specifically in workers' compensation law.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong dictation and typing skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Accounting or bookkeeping background is helpful but not necessary.
