About the position
Adecco Healthcare is seeking a Paramedic / EMT-P to join our client's team in Mesa, AZ, as a Medical Support Specialist. This is a direct-hire, full-time, and permanent position that involves assessing donor eligibility, managing medical emergencies, and collaborating with medical professionals to ensure donor safety and compliance with protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assess donor eligibility, including managing informed consent and conducting medical history interviews.
- Perform physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
- Manage donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including arranging transport to emergency care facilities.
- Collaborate with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
- Champion vaccination programs for employees, including Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccinations.
- Evaluate donor reactions at the facility in accordance with SOPs and execute standing orders from the Center Physician.
- Potentially serve as a Pandemic Coordinator and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
Requirements
- Paramedic/EMT-P certification/license in Arizona.
- BLS & CPR certification (Adult & Pediatric).
- High School Diploma.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of plasma processes.
- Venipuncture skills.
