About the position
The Part Time Pharmacy Technician at Genoa Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy's operations, primarily focused on dispensing medical prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This position is integral to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, contributing to the overall mission of improving health outcomes for individuals with behavioral health and addiction treatment needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
- Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
- Work with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
- Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Tennessee OR ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
- 6+ months of previous customer service experience
- Access to reliable transportation
Nice-to-haves
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
