About the position
As a Part-Time Sales Associate at ACE, you will play a crucial role in building connections with customers and providing exceptional service. Your primary responsibility will be to educate customers on our products and services, ensuring that their needs are met effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining store security, processing various transactions including MoneyGram and Bill Pay, and cashing checks. You will also be expected to handle card services and ensure that the store remains a safe and welcoming place for all customers. The physical demands of the job include standing for long periods, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs. You will need to be comfortable working in a confined space for extended periods, typically 10-12 hours. Responsibilities
- Educate customers on products and services
- Listen to customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Maintain store security and ensure a safe environment
- Process MoneyGram transactions and complete Bill Pay transactions
- Cash checks and provide card services
- Assist customers with inquiries and transactions
- Ensure the store is clean and organized
- Handle cash and perform basic math calculations accurately
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of retail/customer service experience
- 1 year of experience in a sales environment
- Ability to exchange U.S. currency in any denomination
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task while adhering to customer service expectations
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Nice-to-haves
- US Currency Exchange experience
- Sales experience in a retail environment
- Experience with POS software
