About the position

The Sales Lead Manager at White House Black Market is responsible for fostering a customer-focused sales culture while supporting management in achieving operational excellence. This role emphasizes the importance of a great customer experience and profitability, ensuring that the store team is motivated and well-trained to meet sales goals and deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and communicates clear expectations for the store team, holding them accountable for achieving brand standards.
  • Performs and oversees basic operational activities such as opening and closing duties, and merchandise flow processes.
  • Supervises associates engaged in sales and inventory management, ensuring proper floor coverage and adherence to fiscal guidelines.
  • Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions, presenting merchandise according to standards.
  • Develops a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals.
  • Trains and coaches the selling team on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Models and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles to enhance customer experience.
  • Builds and maintains a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
  • Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns and a fast register experience.
  • Supports and implements training programs for store associates, providing feedback for performance appraisals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
