The Intake Probation Officer/Youth Specialist - Juvenile Division (Part-Time/Weekends) is a critical role within the Elkhart County Judiciary-Court Services, responsible for overseeing the intake process for juveniles entering the Juvenile Intake Center. This hybrid position requires the officer to work either a 12-hour PM or AM shift on weekends, focusing on conducting intake assessments for juveniles referred by law enforcement. The primary objective is to determine whether a juvenile should be detained in secure detention or released on an alternative basis while awaiting a court hearing.
