About the position

Make Waves Design LLC is seeking a part-time WordPress Front-End UI Designer to join their growing web development and digital marketing agency in Stockton, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong design background and the ability to manage projects from inception to completion. This role requires a commitment to quality design and the ability to work under tight deadlines while collaborating with a small team.

Responsibilities

• Build and launch websites and landing pages
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues
• Provide hands-on support with web development and maintenance as needed
• Monitor and improve design to maximize leads and form fills on the website

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a WordPress developer
• Expert understanding of WordPress themes and plugins
• Portfolio showing modern web design work
• Passion for and expertise in UI and visual design for the web (desktop and mobile)
• Ability to structure page layouts and understanding of frontend UX standards
• Outstanding visual design, color, layout, and typography skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail is a MUST

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with graphic design, illustration, logo and icon design, branding, print design
• Experience with analytics, A/B testing, and other measurement and reporting tools
