About the position
The Parts Expeditor position supports the manufacturing process by delivering parts to the next operation or department as they complete required operations. The role includes general plant support and utility aid. Responsibilities
- Verify parts by matching the part number stamped on the part with the corresponding paperwork.
- Pick up and deliver parts and paperwork from one department to another as directed by the part traveler paperwork.
- Perform sandblast and shot blast of castings by operating sand and shot blast equipment.
- Remove contents of department dumpsters to the main dumpster outdoors using a forklift.
- Clean castings as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work safely and adhere to safety rules.
- Attention to detail in all learned skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn and understand the manufacturing process.
- Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
- Ability to learn and operate a forklift.
- Current and valid operator's license.
- Minimum of two (2) years licensed driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
