About the position

The Parts & Service Customer Support Representative at Clarke Power Services, Inc. is responsible for interpreting customer needs related to diesel engine parts and services, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves utilizing computer systems for order management, maintaining inventory accuracy, and effectively communicating with customers both over the phone and in person. The representative will work closely with warehouse operations to resolve inventory issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret customer needs to fulfill diesel engine parts and service requirements.
  • Solicit sales of new or additional engine parts or services.
  • Utilize computer systems for entering and updating customer orders and maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Communicate with customers over the phone, on computer, and in person as applicable.
  • Handle all parts and service inquiries.
  • Work with warehouse operations and inventory management to resolve inventory issues.
  • Write accurate, descriptive, and clear parts/service orders.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of related experience as a Service Advisor or Customer Service Representative.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Technical background with diesel engines is helpful.
