About The Position

The Parts Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to both retail and installer customers while supporting store management in various tasks. This role involves assisting customers with merchandise selection, handling phone inquiries, processing transactions, and maintaining store operations. The Parts Specialist also performs in-store services and may drive a delivery vehicle as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with automotive parts and cataloging systems.
• Experience in automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending items.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions accurately, and handle exchanges and returns.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily operational tasks including freight receival, stocking shelves, and cleaning.
• Prepare merchandise returns to be shipped to the distribution center and assist with inventory counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Perform various in-store services for customers where allowed by law.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when needed.
