About the position

The Passenger Service Team Captain at Horizon Air is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the Passenger Service Agents, ensuring they meet established goals and adhere to proper procedures. This position involves direct interaction with customers, managing schedules, and addressing unexpected passenger needs, all while fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Passenger Service Agents on shift and ensure the team's success in achieving goals.
• Assign flights for the day and manage agent schedules on a weekly basis.
• Ensure compliance with proper procedures by Passenger Service Agents.
• Assist with clerical functions and reports as needed.
• Address unexpected passenger needs or complaints.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months of customer service or airline operations experience.
• Ability to lead, direct, and motivate teams for optimum performance.
• Strong active listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to work a variety of schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-haves

• A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.
• Previous leadership experience.
