About the position

The Pathways Facilitator for the Redwood Coast K-16 Educational Collaborative is responsible for leading initiatives that enhance career readiness among K-12 students, college students, and workforce partners in Humboldt County. This role involves providing tutoring, mentoring, and workshops aimed at developing students' social, emotional, and learning skills, as well as facilitating career exploration and dual enrollment pathways.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and strengthen health occupation and education career clubs and dual enrollment pathways.
• Provide tutoring and mentoring to students through study groups and individual lessons.
• Identify barriers to student success and help develop plans to overcome those barriers.
• Assist with social, emotional, and learning skill development.
• Deliver workshops focused on career exploration and pathway completion.

Requirements

• Experience in educational settings, particularly with K-12 and college students.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including students, families, and educational institutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in career counseling or guidance.
• Familiarity with health occupations and education pathways.
• Skills in workshop facilitation and public speaking.
